Awards

The Kramer Award of Excellence is sponsored by the Supreme Chapter of OKU to recognize an undergraduate dental student, selected by each chapter, who shows the greatest potential for future advancement of the profession and service to humanity. To be eligible, the awardee must be ranked academically among the top five students in the class at the completion of the second year of the curriculum. The award was established in 1986 to commemorate the many years of service to Omicron Kappa Upsilon at the national level by Dr. William S. Kramer.

In memory of those of Mu Nu Chapter that have gone before us, candidates will be nominated from the five Sophomores ranked highest in scholarship and the recipient is chosen by vote of the Chapter membership.

From the ten students in the Sophomore class who ranked highest in scholarship, the chapter chooses three students who have shown their scholastic ability and have upheld the principles of OKU.
